You want to reduce your electricity bill or self-finance your purchase with your carport?

Here is an example of funding

For a house of approximately 100m2 occupied by 4 people living in Ternay, in the Lyon metropolitan area (69) with a standard consumption and a 12Kva blue tariff subscription, this household will consume approximately 14,100 Kwh/year. (source EDF).

This household will pay approximately €2,908 per year for electricity (estimate based on €0.2062/kWh blue tariff price from EDF in February 2023).

This household wants to buy our butterfly solar carport 4.05 Kwc. In Lyon, with this structure, this household will produce approximately 4,600 kWh/year of solar energy, that is a saving of 949€ including tax per year.
Calculation of production carried out with the INES software (National Institute of Solar Energy).

Here are 2 possible financing simulations:

  • Over 5 years: If these customers opt for a 5-year purchase (60 months), the solar carport will cost them €360 including tax per month and save them €79 including tax per month thanks to its solar production. Therefore, the carport will cost them €281 per month for the first 5 years, plus their electricity consumption.
  • Over 10 years: If these customers opt for a 10-year purchase (120 months), the solar carport will cost them €180 including tax per month and save them €79 including tax per month thanks to its solar production. Therefore, the carport will cost them €101 per month for the first 10 years, in addition to their electricity consumption.

At the end of this period, the solar shelter will allow them to reduce their electricity bill by 1/3 for a minimum of 20 years. They will have also added value to their property thanks to the carport and will have a shelter to protect their vehicles or other items.

With future increases in electricity prices, the profitability of solar production will automatically increase.

Investment grant:

For any photovoltaic installation with a self-consumption contract with surplus sale, the government grants an investment subsidy. The amount of this subsidy is €0.37* per installed kilowatt-peak (kWp) of your installation.

  • For a 4.05 kWp design pergola or carport, the subsidy will be €1,498.5.
  • For a 6.48 kWp design pergola or carport, the subsidy will be €2,397.6.
  • For a 8.10 kWp design pergola or carport, the subsidy will be €2,997.

This subsidy will be paid once the installation is connected to the grid.
